Resumen del Editor

Face it, whether your company has 10 employees or 10,000, you must grapple with people you can't stand in the office. Luckily Jonathan Littman and Marc Hershon have written I Hate People!, a smart, counter-intuitive, and irreverent turn on the classic workplace self-help book that will show you how to identify the Ten Least Wanted - the people you hate - while revealing the strategies to neutralize them.

Learn to fly right by the "Stop Sign" (nay-sayer) and rise above the pronouncements of the "Know-it-None". I Hate People! will teach you how to carve out more time for yourself by becoming a "Soloist" - one of those bold individuals daring to work alone or collaborate with a handful of other talented people....while artfully deflecting the rest.

One Step Above Absolute Crap

Don't waste your money or time: Repetitive, unoriginal points; horrible narration; unamusing parodies and use of profanity; some suggestions, particularly in this economy, don't help you handle toxic people at work - they'll get you canned. Skip this one.

Starts well, then what?

This book had a subject that resonated with me. The book started well, but the second half of the book was filled with a lot of stuff that seemed irrelevant and was just written to fill up a book. It became a no sense read.

Some interesting content, one abominable reader

What could have been a mildly interesting Audible is marred beyond repair by one of the two reader's awful, amateurish delivery. It continues to amaze me that authors who can barely pronounce words insist on reading their own work. Painful.

As for the ideas, some are actually useful (getting out of meetings, handling large email volume, delivering snappy comebacks to "Bulldozers" and "Flim-Flams"; but some will get you fired (create a "quick 10" minute break to become inaccessible when people need you, so you can play videogames on you computer?! What company does these two work for?) On the whole, though, mostly unoriginal.

This amateurs-reading-badly jag seems to be a persistent infection at Gildan Media Corp. Although I *love* Audible.com, I recommend a boycott of the Gildan selections until they correct this.

Boring and repetitive

I couldn't even finish listening to this although I made the effort to finish 1/2 of it. All the author does is attach snarky titles to different types of people many of us work with. It's a slightly amusing at first but it goes on and on and on and never makes the point. What is the point? How do you deal with these people or avoid being one? I got too fed up to even bother to find out if the real answer is told at the very end. I just didn't care anymore.

You will hate this book too.

What a waste of time and money this book is. Nothing useful here unless you enjoy basking in your hatred of the various personalities you have to deal with on a daily basis.
