Surprise Find

After paranormal/academy reverse harem burnout, I stumbled across this gem. The plot was engaging with unique twists and turns I didn't anticipate, along with intriguing romance! I absolutely loved the FMC and admire her for her perseverance, strength and ability to retain a sense of humor despite her trauma. I could not put the first book down, and then the same with the second (but both are each long listens and the investment is worth it). This is one of my new favorite authors and duets. Audible version is a must listen with Bridget Bordeaux's impression of Mo Mo 😍. Spoiler Alert:

The ending had me in happy tears 😭

Kinda predictable. Dragged in a few areas probably could have been one book. Overall it was good

I loved this duet! Sad at times, quirky antics from Darla, 4 hopelessly in love guys and plenty of action make this book a real hit. The author did an amazing job creating a progressive storyline that is interesting and unique. Narration was excellent!
