You won't find any dark romance here, only possessive alpha males and true happily ever afters. Each woman is absolutely unique and strong for their own reason.

Good, not great.

This could have been a really great beginning to a series! It was slim on details, slim on character emotional background, and absolutely did not connect the listeners to the scenes.

Each character has a story to tell. Each scene has emotional background. Each book needs a recipe of ingredients to attract readers. This book was didn't go far enough to flavor, or cook this book.

Romantasy is very involved. It needs heart, emotion, spice, drama, tension, a dash of violence, longing, deep love, and comfort. I didn't get the full spectrum of those with this book.

I will keep listening, only because this authors books are easy and relatively short. But look elsewhere if you want depth to your characters. I just want my something I can listen to while I clean my house that has fantasy, romance, spice and a happy ending quick and easy.

I love the narrator's

Even though it's a typical romance and HEA it still has what you need to get all the feels your looking for. I enjoyed the characters and their dynamics. the personal growth of the MFC is great.

Good Story

I really liked this book. Once I started I couldn’t stop and didn’t realize this was a one and done book, but I think after two epilogues, the story ends nicely. Narrators did a great job.

Performances

The narrators did a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life. I always enjoy this author and her writing style.

Meets expectations

If you're looking for excitement this is not for you. This RH is PG-13 and could pass for a Hallmark Channel movie. I enjoyed it but maybe it was my hormones.
