A fantastic new author debut…

I discovered Blake with the release of her second duet and was hooked. Then her third duet pulled me in even more. Now that I've had a chance to go back and start this debut duet I know I would have been hooked right from the start.

Liv is a celebrity with a traumatic past looking for a fresh start in a new place. She's starting over and on her own dealing with the emotional and physical scars while trying to find her way. Liv is balancing her college dance major while healing and finding new connections with the people around her.

Between her new protective neighbor and the close-knit found family of the local gym, she's developing new bonds and friendships. And she's also developing feelings for four guys while trying to figure out what possibilities that might hold. They all connect in their own special ways. Of course there's some pushback on what could become a very nontraditional relationship. Along the way we get snippets of Liv's past that paint a traumatic picture of the pain she's trying desperately to heal from.

I absolutely loved this story. The developing connections both in the friendship and romantic departments are so good. And the dance aspects with all the description and emotion really makes you feel it and visualize it. The story is emotional, sweet, funny, romantic, tragic, and just... everything. I cannot wait to dive into book two, especially with how things end in this book. Gotta know what happens next!

Girl and guy narrators are great!

IMO, they give to the oudiobook something the story lacks. The plot is kinda fanfic-y, but that's my cup of tea, so...

Good book and the first one I’ve heard from this author.

Good character development and the way they interact is really good. Broken finds broken and they can heal each others wounds.

I was completely captivated by this book and couldn't put it down! Although I had high expectations because I love this genre, I was pleasantly surprised at how deeply engrossed I became in the story. The themes were heavier than I anticipated, so I recommend checking the trigger warnings before reading. Despite that, the writing was excellent. As a fan of reverse harems, I was delighted by the compelling group of men in the story. I have to admit, I may have developed a bit of a crush on each of them! The ending left me reeling, and I immediately dove into the next book. I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who shares my love for reverse harems. This was my first time reading this author's work, and it certainly won't be the last!

Fantastic!!

I can't believe I let this book sit in my wish list for so long. This book gives you all the feels! The narration is great and all the main characters are extremely likable. What this poor girl went through with her ex is so sad.

listening to this book and looking up the sound tracks that are referenced in the book brings it alive. would love to see this as a movie. along with sound tracks and dancing could be huge. fifty shades of gray on steroids. Great job!!

Loved Shattered Rhythm

Blake Black writes this best books and Shattered Rhythm is no different.

This book hooked me from the very beginning and left me diving right in to book number 2.

This is a great beginning, great narration, and a great author.

Weak

Not a fan of any of the characters or the story line. I’m sad about that. It felt like a weak attempt at WITSEC. The narrators were good.
