The advice in this audiobook is well-researched and easy to implement. It covers everything from the basics of face-to-face communication to coming across well on social media, and even setting up a killer online dating profile, which makes this the most up to date and comprehensive how-to guide on the topic that’s currently available in my opinion.

Expert tools explained well

This book is a must-listen for anyone looking to step up their game at work and at play. The information is very comprehensive, and the narration is superb. I particularly liked the characters that are based on people that the writer knows and that are used as examples through the book. It adds a sense of flow and realness that a lot of other similar books don’t.

Optimizing your online dating profile!

The information in this book is a treasure trove for anyone who wants to improve their social skills. It covers the basics of actual small talk to the intricacies of online dating. Basically it covers it all with a modern edge.

Just what I wanted

I will be keeping this book for sure! I have trouble talking to be due to anxiety. I can go back to this book anytime and remind myself how to talk to people the right way! :D

It’s like this was written for me

This book is just what I needed. I am an introvert, struggle reading body languages and understanding when conversations are over. This book does a great job of giving you examples of knowing when conversations are over and so much more. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to add more skills to their communication toolbox and learn how to talk to anyone. Full of examples, relatable characters and roll models. It has something in there for everyone.

It even covers a good handshake!

I got this book to improve my first impressions and networking skills, striking up good conversation and things like that. Good news is that this book does actually helps in that regard.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a section on how to give a good handshake. I've been told by close friends my handshake is weak and needs improving but have always struggled how to know, how long to shake hands, how hard to grip, not being too passive in a handshake, I always worry that if I try too hard, my handshake will end up being like that Eddie Izzard comedy sketch where it’s either like receiving a sock into a cup, or you end up giving someone hand squeezy death! This book did an excellent job of answering all of questions on that.

Give power to your small talk

Like most of these books, there’s stuff in here that I’ve heard before. That being said, there’s a lot of stuff that is totally new to me as well. There’s walkthroughs on body language that I didn’t even realize I was doing and are extremely helpful. The advice is straight forward and can be incorporated into your life relatively easily, making it an excellent resource for anyone looking to improve their communication skills. The narration engaging and easy on the ear. Recommended!

As someone who struggles with confidence, this book has been a lifesaver. The tips on active listening have already made a big difference in my personal life. The parts about powering up your charm and charisma are brill too.
