My name is Wyatt Blake. I'm a cardiothoracic surgeon in Phoenix. When I was 17, I had a heart transplant that saved my life. That's not something I tell just anyone, because I hate being defined by the illness that ruled the first half of my life. The average life expectancy for a transplant patient is 11 years. I'm 34, and in case math isn't your thing, that puts me about six years past my expiration date when I spend a weekend at my buddy Jason's wedding in Miami and meet the sexiest bridesmaid in the history of sexy bridesmaids.

Dee Giordino. She's sweet, kind, loving, and drop-dead gorgeous. I love every minute I spend with her. We had so much fun together at the wedding, and when I invited her back to my room after, we had the best night I've ever had with anyone. And now I can't stop thinking about her or texting her or wishing our one-night stand could somehow be more, even though "more" isn't in my vocabulary.

When Jason tells me there's an opening in my specialty at his hospital, I come running back to Miami to interview for the job. And to see Dee again, even though I know that's completely unfair to her. In light of my situation, I've become the king of the one-night stand. It wouldn't be fair to drag someone else into my reality when my future is so uncertain.

But Dee, she's different from the beginning, and, maybe, just maybe, I might have to break all my rules for her.... Fair or not.

Great book, great series

This new series by Marie Force has turned out to be one of my favorites. This series has been about overcoming great odds to get to happily ever after. This book is about living everyday to its fullest and looking forward without fear. I highly recommend this series and as always all of Marie’s books.

Wonderful book

This story is about living life to the fullest since we aren't guaranteed a specific time to live. Wyatt has only lived for the moment because of his heart transplant until he meets Dee and they both find that they want forever with each other. They have a lot of support from family and friends to get through the rough situations. Books by Marie Force are always wonderful. Samantha Cook and Gregory Salinas disagree job of narrating.

Great addition to the series

See thought she’d never get her HEA after finding out her long term boyfriend has married someone else. Will she ? Won’t she? Then there is Wyatt, a wonderful man with what he believes and based on medical history an expiration date on the near horizon. Should they take a chance? Their journey is so wonderful and hopeful. It’s a great listen. Very credit worthy. Having listened to the series it was helpful while listening, but this can be listened to as a stand-alone. That aside, the entire series is terrific.

Such a heartfelt and hopeful story! I love that they choose to take life each day as a gift!

Great story

The story is fantastic. To be honest I got tired of the performance. The story was good enough to help but it just felt forced by the performance

sweet and cute

good story about a doctor who falls for a bridesmaid at his bf wedding. the story was cute with very little conflict or anguish .

Heart

marie you are such a great Auther this book was so great from the beginning to the end it showed be what people ho through when you have a heart problem

Living for the present

I really enjoyed Dee and Wyatt’s story. Each with their own baggage. Dee having found out her boyfriend married someone else. Wyatt, not knowing how long he’ll live due to having a heart transplant. They find each other and know they have to live for the present.

Great Book

So far, all of the books in this Marie Force, Miami Nights Series have been wonderful reads.
