Don't you just live it when the characters you're come to know and love continue on to the next book? That's exactly what you can expect in this second installment. A pleasant, feel good story that takes you away to another place and time. I really love the series and hope there's more to come.

Hearts in Defiance

Hearts in Defiance continues from A lady in Defiance. This is a great book and series. Plenty of excitement. Heather Blanton wrote a great book and Em Eldridge did an excellent job narraiting this book.

excellent except......

This was excellent except for one word that the author just absolutely loved to use over and over. If it was not a Christian author I would not have been surprised but I was disappointed that she chose to use the H word over and over. But other than that an excellent story.

A really excellent cowboy adventure romance!

I really enjoyed listening to this book both the author and narrator put a lot of work into making this an exciting book to listen to. I must have read other books in this series as I remember the main characters, sisters trying to make a life in the Colorado wilderness. As God becomes more real to different characters of the lawless Defiance, we see beautiful changes. But because this book is one written at a time when soldiers were trying to push Native Americans into small places to live there is still lots of animosity. I will definitely be reading or listening to more books in this series!

Great story with too much

This is a really good story, but, as a Christian, I don't like how much sensuality the author puts into the imagination of the reader. Nor do I want to hear about the level of violence the book contains.

The narrator was excellent.

This one was one of my ALL time favorites!
the love stories and action it's the best of both worlds.

the Author dose a good job of keeping it clean while keeping it romantic. I don't know which of the sisters is my favorite.
very nicely done.

What did you love best about Hearts in Defiance?

I loved Hearts in Defiance. A Lady in Defiance is the first book in the series. You do not need to read it first in order to enjoy this one. Indians, Indian fights, saloons, this book has it all! Like an old fashioned western romance

I cannot recommend this book highly enough!
Beautiful story with historical details portrayed so vividly. I absolutely loved it – it’s an emotional read full of hope, showing the wonder of God's redemption.
The narration is fabulous – I relived through the story!
