What do you do when your boss pressures you to date her nephew? You create a fake boyfriend. One who works a lot, so he never comes to office functions or meets you for lunch. It was working well until she calls my bluff.
So that’s how I find myself at a client event practically begging a handsome stranger to play said boyfriend. It’s only after I calm down that I realize the hottie in the bespoke suit is my best friend’s brother. I mean, seriously, who knew he cleans up so well?
When Gunnar volunteers to go to yet another work function with me so I can keep up the ruse, of course I say yes. But fake love has very real consequences…
Gunnar:
Being accosted by a flustered glamor boy before I even make it out of the parking lot isn’t how I expect to start the evening. But pretending to be his boyfriend for a few hours seems like a harmless way to liven up an otherwise painful social event.
And as far as dates go, fake or otherwise, I could do a lot worse. Jocelin’s smart, gorgeous, and has a bit of a French accent. Plus, my sister would kill me if I left her bestie hanging.
The evening goes shockingly well — and we must fool the people he works with because we’re invited to a second work function a few weeks later. Effortlessly, our relationship turns real, and for a while, it’s total bliss. Until I unintentionally take a wrecking ball to my life. Again.
Heal Me is a medium-angst, MM fake boyfriend, sister’s best friend, contemporary romance about past trauma, bad decisions, and loving someone including their flaws. It contains no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA.
