Best audio version of Harry Potter

I waited for years for the UK versions of Harry Potter audio books to be available in the US. It was totally worth using 7 credits to get the series. I enjoyed both UK and US releases, but this is my favorite. To me, it feels just that little bit more authentic to the story.

My fave out of the series

I love this chapter because of the dramatic shift in viewpoints. Harry comes to an age we all did when we realize the lives of the people around us are so much more complex than we realize.

Yet another great performance by Stephen Fry. Elevates the story to new heights. Highly recommended.

Incredible Narrating by Stephen Fry!

I had always wanted to hear Stephen Fry's narrations of the Harry Potter books! As soon as it was announced that they too were available on Audible in the U.S. I bought them all immediately! It's awesome to have both versions!

This is it: the best. Stephen Fry at last, pitch perfect.

Stephen Fry is IT. Finally we have his voice in the US; we’ve been asking Audible for years to sort that out for us and now they have.

Well done Audible.

He does it all: characters, creatures, measured pauses, voices, emotions, subtle and over-the-top.

He always pronounces “pocketed it” perfectly (if you don’t know that story, you can find videos of Fry recounting it).

I am so grateful to have this collection at last, at last.

Lovely as always! Fry's performance is particularly good. I recommend this audio book to everyone without qualifications.

Stephen Fry narration does it for me

Stephen Fry’s narration makes the books much more listenable than what I have come to expect from the Jim Dale versions

Great narration

Obviously, the story was amazing. Some voices were a bit odd but only because that’s not how they sounded in my imagination. I love how the narrator “acts out” the book instead of just reading it. A double stutter here, a “whAT?!” instead of just “what?”, stuff like that. I’m so glad I got this narrator instead of Jim Dale.
