A pack of teens. A cabin in the woods. And a killer with a love for slapstick.

“A dark, comic ode to those great 80's horror movies that lowered the bar while at the same time raising it” -Nick Perry

An unlikeable cast of teenage clichés, out for a week in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. What could possibly go wrong?

Murder, that's what!

Hey, who left that dead girl skewered on the porch?

All are suspect, as the slayings become more creative. And more ridiculous.

Hell of a way to spend a vacation.

Will they find out who the killer is in time to stop this madness, or will this mean the end for all?

Harm’s Way is a horror comedy originally penned by Sam Raimi’s twin brother, Aaron Elvis Raimi, who died at birth.

It reeks of classics like Evil Dead, Silent Night, Deadly Night, and Student Bodies.

Can a psychopath really fit in an outhouse hole?

Can you re-capitate someone with a welder’s torch?

Will everyone really see your dirty pillows?

The answers to those age-old questions are here.

For an extra bit of fun, the text contains a code that reveals the killer! Maybe you can figure it out before these dummies.

This is a pretty funny horror story. It's a bit absurd at times (a skewered dead girl on the porch is ignored for most of the book) but that gives the story its peculiar humour. Stereotyped characters are heavily ridiculed and that was refreshing. I liked it.

A slightly absurd, yet funny horror tale.

This book brought me back to my childhood. Friday the 13th, Halloween. all the good slasher films of my time. You know, a bunch of kids in the woods camping, people start to die, but they are to stupid to try and leave! this book is funny, and campy, almost cheesy. If it was a movie it would be a cult classic from the 80s!
Remember when reading/listening to this book, its Not a real "horror" story. its a mock of the 80s! I dug it!

The narrator did a good job. there are a lot of people to switch back and forth from. He some how pulled it off.

In true horror movie fashion, Richard adds the group of people who wouldn't hang out., sends them to a cabin and gives them reasons to get killed. He does get pretty creative with the deaths, and the ending is priceless.
All of Marc Richard's books have an oddness to them that, if one is so inclined to the odd, is easy to appreciate, simply for the out there way he comes up with the tales. The narrator, David S. Dear, does a great job in keeping up the tongue-in-cheek absurdity of it all.

Harm's Way
: Marc Richard

A group of cliche horny teenagers, a cabin in the woods in the middle of nowhere and this sets up the perfect murder spree..............or not. The murders start as soon as they arrive. The listeners get to solve the crimes if they can stop laughing long enough. I figured this would be a neat listen for Halloween.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.
