Hearing this in the author’s own voice is like listening to a friend talking. She has a comforting tone, and I love how she encourages the listener to take a stroll with her. This book truly speaks to my heart and came into my life at a crucial time of transition. Truly a homecoming for me.

A timely reminder to slow down in a world of hurry

This was such a beautifully written book reminding all of us to slow down and unhurry our hearts. I don't know if the timing of it coming right on the heels of the worldwide pandemic known as covid - 19 This was what made it so helpful to me, but I know I need Ed to hear these words at this point in my life! Thank you Jennifer for writing these words and for being bold to say them in a world that is all about productivity and accomplishment and multitasking. You have given me permission to say yes to the best things and no to some good things In order to slow down and unhurry. The way you pointed us all to Christ as the chief farmer and one who is helping us take care of the soil that is before us was such an encouragement. Thank you thank you!!

Your Soul needs this!

What a fantastic book, if you’re feeling OVERWHELMED this is a calming book that your soul & brain needs. Her simple words have a way of breaking through. A Quality book is an understatement, this will be a yearly read!

Breath of fresh air!! Much needed!

I’ve recently been questioning what the difference might be in God’s idea of success and the world’s metrics based system. I’d been asking because I had this sense that the “always-behind-driven-ness” I’d been feeling wasn’t what God had in mind when He said His yoke was easy and His burden was light. Jennifer’s message through this book affirmed a lot of what God’s already been up to in my life, helped me reframe my thinking and just take a deep breath. Highly recommended! Thanks Jennifer!!

Just what my soul needed.

I took the full 6 weeks that goes with the Bible study to allow this to go deep into my tired soul. God had me reading just what I needed when I needed it. Having permission to Grow Slow is exactly what I needed when my body wasn't allowing me to grow at the rate my brain and soul wanted. I feel like I can come out of this time of rest fully understanding that I can rest in God and all of the beautiful things will happen at His perfect timing. Thank you so much for the gift of this book.

Best book of 2021

This was my last listen of 2021 and one of my faves!! As a farmer’s daughter growing up in the country in a family of farmers, I loved this book so much. It made me smile, brought me to tears, and encouraged me in so many ways. I will now purchase the hard copy and also gift it to everyone I know!
