A great listen.

If you even have an inkling of wanting to live this way, or just starting, or doing the light version. This is an awesome book. Her story wraps you up in an old-fashioned way. It makes you know this is what you want to do. It is a good book for setting some ground ideals. It’s like an experienced friend letting you know it’s OK to want this and go after it. 

Exactly what i needed to hear

This sums up my mindset for the last 4 years. Some good ideas to keep in my pocket for when I'm ready, but also many points reassuring me that I'm on the right path and n not as crazy as people think i am!

Jill Never Disappoints

Being a modern-day pioneer can be challenging, but Jill makes it seem effortlessly attainable. Her down-to-earth approach as an authentic modern homesteader is refreshing and relatable - no matter what your background may be.

WORTH YOUR TIME!

This book not only has countless nuggets of information but it’s almost as if the author is sitting with you. She does a fantastic job speaking to the hearts of women on a journey back to the basics.

While I didn’t know know of Jill Winger prior to this book, I’m now a fan. I listen to her podcasts while doing housework and gardening. I guess you could say this book kept me thirsting for me.

The life I want!!

I have called myself a homesteader for many years because I didn't know what else to call my desire for a slower simpler old-fashioned life. This book, the concept of living old fashioned on purpose describes the kind of life I'm trying to cultivate. So inspiring!

Relevant in many different situations

Farmer not Homesteader but topics are all relevant for either. I lover her approach to the everyday issues. I passed in one approach to a FB post questioning where to start. It’s covered too! I listened over a couple weeks and enjoyed the content from start to finish.

I loves this book! she's a great storyteller and had a lot of realistic tips I can incorporate into my daily life. the pdf that came with it was great too, I've already made the chapstick and going to make the homemade cleaner soon!
