A great guide for the Montana. It gives the history of towns and has recommendations for eating, camping, lodging, and outdoor activities. All experienced by the author who is definitely an expert on the river. A fine history book even if one doesn't get to the river written with wit and humor not boring or stuffy. The one guide for outdoor enthusiasts and armchair historians alike.
