Good value, okay story, great narrator

I've only finished the first two books in the series, and have to take a break. The story isn't very compelling, and there are a lot of gratuitous sexual scenes (nothing extremely graphic though, but enough to make me cringe lol.) The chapters are very short, and as they jump between several main characters, it became a bit confusing. The narrator does do an excellent job however. I plan on finishing the series, but as other reviews have said, you have to take it in bits. Though 90+ hrs for one credit is too good of a deal to pass up. So, if you like vikings, battles, magic and monsters this is a great value.

Good overall

I picked this up because it was one credit, to my surprise it was a good listen.
I enjoyed it because it was long but did not feel drawn out, there is a lot of fighting but I kinda figured that based on the description. I would recommend this as a casual listen if you like Norse mythology.

I like the way Oden learned that the cycle needed to change or nothing would stop repeating

Truly enjoyable and great

As a follower of the norse gods I truly enjoyed this take and story on their origins, it was a truly good series with a wonderful story of great characters and I found myself laughing a good bit through out the books.

this is by far the best collection and reader ever. I'm listening again right after I'm done.

A work of art

Truly an amazing listen. When I first started I thought I might have chosen poorly. The action was slow at the start and learning the names was a chore. However I am so glad that I did. I will be revisiting this grand and epic tale again in the future. One of the greatest and most gripping fantasy/action stories I’ve ever experienced. Give it a chance past the first few hours and you will not be displeased.

This book kept me interested from the beginning to end. Well written and well read.

Great novelization of mythology

loved the dark gritty tone and the unforgiving magic system. the book is strongest when hinting at the worlds behind the world and spirits that dwell there waiting to prey on mortals and gods alike.

must read for Asatru

if you love the gods, are a someone that follows the ways of heathery, Asatru, or pagan at all this is a must read.
if you like the wheel of time I would strongly recommend this for your audible collection
