Fantastic read!

This is one of the best series I have ever read and I am old! lol so I have read a ton of books. Definitely start with book one but this is a series I will re-listen to until we find out what comes next. Mr. Jackson? When will we find out about what’s next!!!

A Great Series

The world that has been built will totally suck you in. When a series this good finally ends, it is a sad day. The only thing that can make it better is to have another edition with the children of the hero's having to fight a new evil... possibly from another world... again.

Amazing Author

There are no words that can describe the beauty, love, exhilaration, fear, pride, suspense and twists this series takes the reader into. I can only say every person needs to purchase this series.

Awesome

Loved the story lines linked either religious information and history. Loved that it did not include nudity or cursing.

Book 7 - Convergence: All around, pretty good. This was more entertaining than I expected. For once, a great part of the focus was not on Kari. From assassins to kings, the story moved forward quite a bit. This is like preludes to war part 2. With all the names, some things can get confusing as not all characters are as memorable. And the power system can sometimes just not really make sense as it seems Kari can do things that shouldn’t really be possible. But the writing is good as usual. It looks like we’ll finally be getting back to whatever salvation’s dawn is actually supposed to be soon.
Book 8 - The Awakening: Well this was quite different. A first in that it doesn’t follow Kari or her group at all. This was a nice break from the usual stories though. Really felt fresh and like a proper adventure. Also introduced some characters and places we’ve heard about but hadn’t seen closely. And various new ones too. A great installment in this series! The overall story is getting to its climax.
Book 9 - Gods and Kings:

I loved the diversity of all the races. The tying in of tech with magic and the intricate balance between mortals and gods.

intriguing story with fascinating characters

Overall i very much enjoyed listening to this entire series. At times it was a little preachy for my taste, but nothing outrageous. After all, the premise of the series is that they are fighting a holy war against demons! The characters were varied and interesting, and i found myself more drawn to some of the side characters than to the main protagonist. There are definite plot holes and some areas where the storytelling felt weak, but i enjoyed the journey. Without giving any spoilers, I will summarize my frustration that at times the reactions (or lack thereof) to certain events throughout the story could be really infuriating and didnt make sense. If you can move past some of these things, though, its a very fun journey to go on!
