The TikTok fantasy sensation that's sold over half a million copies, perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas and Jennifer L. Armentrout.

'I don't choose him. Not anymore. I'm choosing me.'

I was told that being confined was to keep the bad out.... Until I realised it was about keeping me in.

Midas made me forbidden and weak. Little did he know that I would find my wings and voice—which sings now.

After living amongst the terrifying army of Fourth Kingdom, I find myself, once again, in strange lands and a kingdom surrounded by liars.

But something has ignited within me. Something dark. Something angry.

Then comes King Ravinger.

And the last thing I wanted was my heart to be torn.

Can I really fall in love when the cities around me threaten to crumble and my fate hangs in the balance?

One thing is for sure, I won't be caught in a cage again.

No, this time, it'll be me setting the trap.

Why does the female voice actor sound like she has a runny nose? I really bothers me since book one. To bad i dont have time to only READ the book, because i was not a fan of her performance, unfortunately

Is she sick?

I made it to book 3 and i just had to dnf half way through. I was really enjoying this story, though it does drag a bit. I had to dnf because of the voice for Slade.

**Spoilers**
I'm sorry, but the voice for Slade is AWFUL. This is a romance book and although i haven't finished this series, i know they end up together. How am i ment to even remotely like the romance parts when she makes him sound like a woman trying to do the deepest yet dryest growl voice for him. I cringed every single time she did his voice. I tried to bear through it but i just couldn't.

I don't usually mind when the voice actors have the do the opposite genders voice because i adjust to it. This time however, i would rather listen to a flat, monotone voice with 0 emotions. It would be an improvement. Don't get me wrong, i like her female voices just fine, rather enjoyed it actually.

Seeing how popular these books got, i don't doubt there will be graphic audios of them soon. So i will wait for those 🤞.

Made it to book 3

For someone who’s good looking, powerful and all that - the voice actor made him sounded like a cruel grandpa. What, why?! What’s the purpose of it? Good lord, I don’t think i can picture this man as handsome as he supposed to be.

Why ravinger sounds like that?!!

The story is really good, the characters are well developed and compelling. The problem, for me, is that the plot moves at snail pace. Every single thing that happens is overly descriptive and extended with Auren’s long internal monologues.
This is definitely better than books 1 and 2, at least there’s finally romance. But three books in, I know that the pacing and dragging problems are going to be in the next books and given how this book ends I don’t know where the story is going to warrant three more books…
*spoilers ahead*
I didn’t like the ending to this book. Of course I wanted Midas to die at Auren’s hands, but I wish he’d suffered more, let him scramble and try to maintain his hold on power without Auren, let us watch how he slowly looses everything. Missed opportunity. And again, where is the story going for three more books without our main villain??

Good Story
