Description/summary of book is wrong

Enjoyed the book! But y’all need to update the book summary, as it is inaccurate to the actual story.
Illume isn’t searching for “the woman he loves” he is searching for their friend, the NPC turned AI who in the previous book was flung into the new area, where magic isn’t available.
They are searching for her.

Either way enjoyed the change of game mechanics in the new area!

DLC

I like the fact that the story is continuing. A neat aspect of starting over at level 1 and being about to choose one attribute/skill to keep. No magic in this book but it was still great. looking forward to the next.

So much of the Witcher game is in this.....

The Witcher games, I feel have a big influence on this book and completely different from the previous books. The leveling system, inventory, items used, and the monster all Witcher influenced. It’s not a bad thing just at times it was like “ hey I know where you got that idea from”. Good listen though.

Another review

What a cliff hanger at the end. Even now I’m still intrigued by this story and the performance is very enjoyable.

What a great series of books!

They should definitely change the summary of the book description. Walked into this thinking one thing and found it to be inaccurate in the book itself. But in a good way. Overall a terrific series from start to finish.

some inconsistencies in the story

his girlfriend got another life when they went to the new area so the ending makes no sense.

downgrade

They start this book off stating this is a DLC to the previous books(game) cool, except I have never seen a DLC completely change the game mechanics and user interface. that would be a new game in a series... they then go and mention how the game designers try to make this one as realistic as possible and increase the immersion... that would be great if it wasn't SOOO much less immersion than the original game...

past that, my issues with previous books are:

The writer seems to have forgotten about some of ilums abilities that would have save him multiple times, like his berserk mode. "but he can't use it, people will thi k he's crazy and it will drop his rep". no, he can use it in fights when no one who would care is around... and he has already used it in front of people without issues..

Turning himself in for execution is an emotional overreaction seeing how he only killed innocent people while under the spell of a witch(and the accusers knew it). also he save the ENTIRE country countless times. attempting to execute him due to this incident was blindingly annoying.

scenario:
If someone pumped you full of hallucinogens and told you everyone was trying to kill you, so defend yourself. You wouldn't actually be responsible for your actions. You are a victim.
