Retired Army Ranger John Holliday has reluctantly settled into his teaching position at West Point, when young Israeli archaeologist Rafi Wanounou comes to him with desperate news. Holliday's niece - and Rafi's fiance - Peggy has been kidnapped while photographing the excavation of an ancient tomb in Egypt. Ok, but irritating mistakes
The book is ok, but the research isn't that great. He says Dionysus is a Roman god and Bacchus is Greek. And the villains aren't the least bit plausible. And the romance sucks. But it's not boring, and it kept me mostly engaged. I liked all the travel destinations.
