And it soon becomes clear that there are two killers in their midst, and that at any moment either one might strike again.

i don,t know the narrator clips his sentences almost speaking the last word louder than the rest

reading the book without clipping the sentence just keeping it more storylike than possibly trying to hard to make the point of the character
