Nash and Bex

A cute, entertaining and beautiful second chance romance. I adored Nash and Bexley. Their road wasn’t paved with gold but where they ended up was perfect for them. Great story.

1st Female Formula One strategist struggles with relationships

Bexley Tolivor , a brilliant race strategist is hired by Brianne Norcross for Norcross racing at the same time as her former fiancé Nash Sinclair. Their breakup appeared to be due to youthful lack of communication, temper, and pride and while they still loved each other their fear of failure, lack of trust, careers taking all their attention were keeping them from reconciling. In her new job, Bex as the support of her boss Lucas and Brianne but is also dealing with a couple of men at work who are prejudice against females in the workplace and they are disrespectful. As the season begins, Bex needs to gain enough confidence to stand up for her decisions when they have less than favourable outcomes, to not cut and run when threatened, and to ask for support when necessary. In the end, it is Nash who shows the most character growth by standing up for her and by being willing to tolerate her obsessive workaholic behavior, which hopefully in the future he can get her to moderate. Bex on the other hand seems to be overly impulsive in her emotions for someone as analytical in her job. That seemed to make little sense. The background information on Formula One racing was great and neatly woven into the story. Having Drake appear in a scene with Brianne was also really great for the author’s fans though more dialogue would have been nice in that scene with Drake and Nash. Mostly this was an interesting story due more to the insiders view of the reading world with the driver training, fears of accidents, and the strategies. The romance was just ok with just a few hot scenes to add some spice and to illustrate the couples desire for each other. The next in the series seems to be more typical of a series romance with a more series problem to overcome. Looking forward to the story of the female Italian racer Francesca and more about the other racing friends.

Second Chance

Bexley is a first in the Formula One arena as an engineer for strategy. Nash is a race car driver who had a bad accident three years ago right after he and Bex broke off their engagement. Brianne Norcross is building her race team and has hired both of them. They let her know that they'll be professional and be able to work together. They don't get along at first but then their feelings take over again. Will they be able to make it this time? I liked the narration. This is a wonderful series and I'm looking forward to the next book.
