Great Techniques and Conviction in your idea's!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I need a change in the direction my Finances are heading with Credit Card Debt overwhelming our day to day activities. Now I need to apply his principles and fight my way out of debt using his ideas which can only work if I Dicipline myself to make the neccassary changes Dave Outlined. This is the first time I've run into this scary horizon but I feel I have a Plan to Follow now that can lead to a Great Shining Light at the end of the Tunnel!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Financial Peace?

I'm taking Control effective immediately by sacraficing the things I really don't need and getting smart about each and every purchase moving forward as well as my investments and forced savings!

Daves methods of taking Control of your Finances are exactly what I needed to hear at the exact right time.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes! It was my first Audible Book given to me by a good friend who feels this Information can make me Stop all my bad habits which are Debt riddled and spinning out of control with no positive direction and now....after listening to Dave's riviting story I can set sights on a New Path to Success if I follow his Principles in which I took 3 pages of notes so Yes it was an Extreme reaction which I plan to follow through on. I have to and want do it!

So Glad I was able to listen to Daves adventure with all the trial and tribulations he experienced! Many of the uninformed like myself when it comes to the pitfalls of the Credit Card Crooks can really learn and become educated listening to Daves Message. I wish I heard this years ago since I'm 59 now but there's still time to impact my Financial future based on following Daves steps so Thank You Very Much and I'll see you on the road to Credit Relief on the corner of Financial Success in retirement!

This should be mandatory coursework in the schools to teach high school age kids how to avoid financial credit card disaster and how a good Investment plan can set up a great financial future for everyone who follow the principles outlined by Dave! Thanks Again!

Excellent advice

Great advice but short story for the cost of the book. I would recommend it.

dave puts finance in terms that are very easy to understand and is entertaining while he does it. great information for those who are looking for some direction in this area of life.

Very good, but too short

Dave is great! This book is very short though. In addition, there's some weird feedback when listening to this audiobook.

Good info, horrible recording

Could hear the author in the background repeating the same passages. Became easy to get distracted. Good book though.

Excellent advice with a few caveats

This book is great general advice for someone who wishes to get out of debt and eventually build wealth. The advice on the recommended stock market portfolio, however, is extremely dated (by about 20 years) and even for that time it wasn't very sound. The author's assertion, for example, that international mutual funds outperform the general stock market is historically untrue. His lack of emphasis - and to some degree his dismissal of the impact fees make on mutual funds returns - has also proven to be false. I recommend getting your stock/mutual fund investing advice elsewhere. While this book is very weak on actual stock/mutual fund investing advice, it is very strong on understanding debt and practical approaches for getting out of it.

As long as the reader understands that this book needs to be understood in today's context/today's dollars, this is real meat and potatoes content on debt reduction and financial liberty.

Decent book.

This is a decent book, but not quite on par with "Total Money Makeover." Still worth your time though.
