Everyone needs this!

Terry does an excellent job of delivering this book in a way that you want to keep listening. If you’ve plan on being in relationships you must read this. I recommend reading it with your partner. I gained a lot of clarity on ways to understand myself, and my partner and also stand up for myself in ways that are not damaging to my marriage.

Smart sincere relating is in your future!

This is such a great guide to finally understand yourself, your partner and the dance you do with each other. Highly highly recommend.

The most insightful and hope-bringing book I’ve read

I’m a 23-year old man. I recently started seeing a therapist because my family has therapy paid for through health insurance. I figured I would take advantage of it and talk to a professional about career decisions and other big life choices I had in my otherwise “perfect life”. Well, after talking with him over a few sessions, I soon realized just how much baggage I was carrying, emotionally and relationship-wise (“a fish doesn’t know
It’s wet”). He teaches heavily from this book and he recommended it to me. It has completely changed the way I see myself, my family, my relationship with friends, and just about every other thing in my life. I cannot recommend this book enough. I have learned more from this book than I have in the last four years since I left university. I place the skills and values of this work on equal ground with any of the essential subjects we are taught in school. I wish every person could be taught what this book teaches. I come from a traditional, conservative family, and I had my mind blown by the principles in here. If you are considering it, go for the read. It’s well written, well read by the author himself, and full of real-life situations where he relates to you by using examples from his own life. He is a humble, reasonable, and very logical guy who just blew a giant hole in what I thought I knew about relationships. Even if you are not currently in a relationship intimately, it will blow your mind. I’m currently encouraging everybody else in my family to read it because I know how much closer we can grow if we all consider our familial relationships with this lease. Truly a blessing in my life. Excellent book

This is an excellent listen. The author/narrator provides so many helpful relationship strategies as well as relates to personal experiences.

Everyone should read this

Terry’s approach to life is amazing, he is clear, straight to the point, and I find that so refreshing. If only I found his work earlier! No need to sugar coat this type of hard hitting self work, I love it. I will be recommending this book to anyone who wants to cut straight to it, and I have already seen an improvement in my relationships applying his techniques. Terry’s knowledge, years of experience and contribution to his field of work, and society in general, will without a doubt change the world as we know it. This book, can simply help us all build a better world together. Thank you Terry.

Read this book!!!

I learned so much and it really made me think over my own actions and responses in all relationships not just my marriage. I have recommended this book to so many and I’m so grateful I heard about it through a group of friends.

Terrific, no-nonsense advice

This book is highly engaging and filled with useful practices to create the conditions for a healthy relationship. An easy listen and high standards for behavior mean that I’ll be coming back to it again and again. I love the little anecdotes.

Exactly what I needed

If you are a dude trying to figure things out with your girlfriend, get this audiobook; then listen to it over and over. Terry has a self-deprecating sense of humor and comes across like a wise uncle who just answers your relationship questions w/o any judgement. He's relentlessly courageous, self-aware and practical; he meets you where you are, unlike many other authors in the self-help realm who end up sounding like academics or preachers. I found myself pausing time and time again to take notes for deliberate practice. I even got my girlfriend a copy of the book! I look forward to reading more from him.

connection is key

There is so much great advice in this book. I might have to read it again.
