Acerca de esta escucha

In a season of loss and change, Wren Crawford and her great-aunt, Katherine Rhodes, share the journey as companions in sorrow and hope. As Katherine prepares to retire as the director of the New Hope Retreat Center, she faces both personal and professional challenges—especially after the arrival of the board's candidate to replace her. Not only must she confront more unresolved grief from her past, but she's invited to embrace painful and unsettling insights about her own blind spots. How might disruption become a gift that opens the way to new growth?

Wren's world is shifting and expanding as she presses forward in recovery from a period of deep depression. Still processing open questions around the death of her best friend, Casey, Wren stewards her grief by offering compassionate care to the residents of the nursing home where she now works. But the shedding of her old life is exhausting—especially as she doesn't yet see what new life will emerge. How might art continue to provide a pathway for deepening her awareness of God's presence with her?

In this sequel to Shades of Light and Remember Me, fans of the Sensible Shoes series will not only be able to attend Katherine's final retreat sessions at New Hope but also encounter old and new friends along the way.

Excellent finale to a phenomenal series, but I hope there is more to come. Please keep your deep, spiritual insight & challenges coming! And always have Erin Bennett do the performance-she’s the best!

There is purpose in our sufferings
Not only to lean on Jesus but finding joy in the suffering relating seeing His suffering in/with us. And that in our journey there are ways n opportunities to uplift others in theirs sufferings.
I enjoy how Sharon has threaded the various book series of the readable shoes to this one, thoroughly enjoying the different side of things and perspectives and community, pointing out the beauty of God presence, in the situations, relationships, events, and mostly within self, and how God wants to draw it out for our good and His glory to walk in the freedom of choice.
Much gratitude for making enfaces about the difficulties of the elderly ones. May the Lord bless you keep you and shine in and through you in your writings, the one by one would come to know Him, personally for salvation, and for every day living.

Great story and easy listen to intertwine previous story lines and Bible verses. Nice performance

Great Story

The story was engaging and true to life. I enjoyed the spiritual lessons entwined within the realistic fiction.

Spiritual Formation in a Realistic Story

Apparently everyone else loved this, but this series is nowhere near as good as the Sensible Shoes series. The ongoing dysfunction and enabling of poor behavior in the relationships is cringy. Wren is nauseatingly immature.

Apparently I’m the odd man out but…
