Ended up loving it

When book 1 started I was a little put off by the fact that it was about high school students and felt it was a little immature. However I stuck with it and by the end of book 1 I was ready to keep going straight into book 2. Book 2 to me was a little more interesting as the plot unfolded. Plus we got to hear Kearan's POV which was awesome, especially since Teddy Hamilton is such a talented voice actor. Book 2 has ended and I'm already downloading book 3! Can't wait to hear where the other characters end up :)

Goodness! What a roller coaster of emotions and sorry changes. This series is so much more than the straight up sexual erotic book it was going to be. That being said it had quite a few steamy scenes!!!! Great Read/Listen. Narrators did good as well! Give the series a shot.

Even better aloud

This is book two of the duet and it was everything I expected and more. The narrators represented the characters quite well and kept the story moving nicely. Great book.

Kieran and Lakes story continues…. Can Kieran change? Can he become a better man? This is a story with many layers…. Kieran is how he was raised… cold and doesn’t know what love is. His life is in turmoil because his father is still out there.. he let Lake go… his brother hates him… and he wants to put the men who bought him when he was just a child away.

Lake is a Petty Little Whiny Naive Brat!

Why can’t a author write a lead female to be less of a petty/naive immature brat! I’m getting so frustrated with her back and forth. She loves him, but every chance she gets she wants to put blame on Keiran and put him in jail then feels bad about it. She is such a turn off I just want and am fast forwarding all of her. I keep on going waiting for her to grow the F*ck Up. Everyone else and the plot of the story is very intriguing. One annoying person can really turn someone off especially the lead female.

ending of this one was a bit sappy and the shooting, rescues could have been more dramatic, but it was still good.

Love Kieran and Lake

This follow up did not disappoint. I was so proud of both Kieran and Lake for overcoming both of their own fears and hesitations to finally submit to each other and give into the clear love they had for each other. Kieran for realizing what he felt for Lake was love considering his upbringing and not really having any idea what true feelings and love were and for Lake for standing up to him and overcoming her fears of him and everything he had done to her for the past 10 years with his bullying and torment. I guess it goes to show that love really can conquer all. Was very pleased that they decided to bring in a male narrator for Kieran on this book and all the remaining books in this series. Thought both narrators did a great job.

well damn!!

this book was great! the story is very intriguing. Two damaged souls find love in each other through pain and redemption.

Astounding narrators

This could have been a long and tedious book and probably because of the narrators it was a great experience. I still have a hard time dealing with the fact that the characters have only 18 years, but other than that it was a good book.
