And enjoyed all of them, was very unhappy with the ending of this particular book

such a cozy story

I love this story so far....... except for one thing- Chloe is utterly intolerable. Samantha seems to overlook all of it. the worst is her unwillingness to even say thank you. I can't imagine anyone in real life accepting that treatment. I keep waiting for Samantha to call her out on it.

That was unexpected!

Family secrets is right! This series really knows how to keep you hooked! The cast of characters keeps expanding and gaining depth. They also have a lot to say about forgiveness and not letting one’s past control the future. I’ll be so sad when I reach the last book!

Fun series

I have enjoyed getting to know the vast cast of characters and emotional roller coasters.

I'm on to the next and already can't wait for more fun and family drama.

another fun book in the series

love the story line. the narration on Chloe's chapters are harder to discern between characters. but loved the book all the same. not a shallow story, lots of difficult subjects are handled sensitivity.

I am fully invested in this series. It just keeps getting better and better. I can’t wait to start the next one.

People's Poor Choices

More Chole drama in this installment. Her poor life choices from her past catch up to bite her. Her latest drama was just her trying to cover her own behind. Had she really taken a moment to think she wouldn't have snitched on herself. Sam's mom even went through trauma 30 years ago and blame her husband for it for years. Then bonus took it out on Sam her entire life. What's crazy is Sam wasn't even born when her mom had her trauma. Trauma or not there's absolutely no excuse to mentally abuse your child for years. Even Beth's past is uncovered as well. Still no reason to be husband stealing and bonus being willfully manipulative toward others to get what she wanted or thought was owed to her.

By the end of this book. I felt like the author was trying to give these characters a free pass on how badly they treated others. All because they went through some trauma. A few of these characters made very poor choices which resulted in severe consequences.
