Christopher Mitchell’s style is meant for devouring. By the time the story gets going, you can’t stop. Action, thrill, suspense, cliff hangers galore. A little less soap opera than previous books of his, but still dramatic. Can’t decide if I like the new characters or old better. Maddie and Blackrose are still my favorite.

I enjoyed the ending but it took a long time to get there. Hard to distinguish the characters because most voices sounded alike. I read the first book with Black Rose the dragon and I thought this was about him. I like stories about Dragons who can speak.
