Reseñas de la Crítica

"What a treat you have in store in Fallen Into The Pit! Narrator Simon Prebble's skills will remind you of the Golden Age of radio, circa 1930s and '40s. Each character's voice is as individual as the many faces of Alec Guinness." ( The Reading Lamp)

The pacing is great. And she has such a way with words. I love the family interplay.

Love Ellis Peters. The narrator is fantastic.

After reading all the Brother Cadfell books, I hesitated to read anything so different. But I am very happy that I finally started reading it.
Very interesting characters, and some unexpected terms and twist.
Also, it touches upon the situation of POWs from other countries in England in the 1940s and 50s. I had never contemplated the conflict that many people had between the hatred of the enemy and the desire to be forgiving and healing. Great topic!

Excellent!

The story is very nice. Enough twists and turns to make it a fun listen. It does have a bit do a slow start

The characters and narration were excellent

The mystery is a "slow burn" and I wasn't sure it would fully engross me, even though I knew almost immediately I admired the writing, especially how the author handles atmosphere. The pace picks up significantly in the last third. Dominic is completely endearing, at times acting like a child, at others like a mature teen; in fact, a believable adolescent. Many relationship threads are woven tightly by the end. I'm glad I "stuck it out" as it is a rewarding story. The original victim is shown to be utterly deplorable early on, creating a wide net for a murderer. Village life is captured well, along with the state of life in post-war Wales. I look forward to the next in the Felse Investigates series. The narrator is enjoyable.

Excellent atmospheric start to a series

I thoroughly enjoyed this - the audio equivalent of a page turner.
