Stellar story worth remembering

Dayton's visual way with words will keep your imagination engaged. The characters are inventively quirky and he is not afraid to explore uncomfortable relationships. Great one! Pick it up.

Great new story

Great character development and plot movement. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for a sequal! The narrator did a great job of bringing the characters and story to life. Will try other books he has narrated.

Very entertaining . A combination of Fantasy/Scifi and cyberpunk. Anticipating the next one of the series.

Unique and Entertaining

This book is very interesting with some original takes on some old ideas. I highly recommend that you give it a try.

Unexpected world building

Excellent listen. The genre lists as a YA read but I thought the world building made this an excellent mature read.

great book not cyberpunk at all

rather brilliant book set so far into the future that earth became primitive. loved the characters.

hard to follow, not sure where it went either

I don't know if it was the author the narrator but the world building just didn't connect. It felt like the author wrote thousands of pages of nuanced backstory to a world that just wasn't conveyed. It gave the feel of a video game where players do the quest and just shut their minds off to the plot and carry on.

Pieces of every type of sci fi and fantasy were stapled together, if I focused on any given piece it seemed fine it just didn't mesh as a whole.

Even now I'm not sure if I tried to over or under analyse it.

A lot left on the table

Decent story. Well written. It seemed a bit rushed. There was a lot of possibility left on the table, Definitely could have been more.

Gripping story and phenomenal performance

This book is a science fiction story with the feel of Epic Fantasy. The world is a captivating mystery in the early chapters that makes you feel as if anything is possible and all of it wonderful. The character of Enoch is endearing, the portrayal of his autism giving a clear description of what it is like to live with that and making him empathetic even to those who have never experienced what he does. The story lagged a bit in the middle, almost losing me while Enoch stayed in Babel, but soon enough picked up and was engaging again. As a whole I feel the book was a little bit too long but deeply enjoyable. I will definitely be continuing the series and I recommend you give it a try as well.

Great narrator

Kirby Heyborne really brought this world to life. The world was incredible and the characters were interesting.
