Top 10 series

Honestly, apocalypse parenting is definitely in my top 10 series of LITRPG. This particular book was extremely well paced and had you listening to every word. it's definitely worth the buy/credit!

I love the storyline and the humor.

Overall, it’s a great series to read and listen to. Not on dungeon crawler Carl level but still fantastic. I would highly recommend. I wish they would’ve had woman voices for the women and slightly different male voices for the men, but overall great story.
Love the ending! Can’t wait to read/listen about the humans destroy the bad aliens.

Much needed tie-in

It was great to finally get to hear the story from a new perspective. It was fast paced and didn’t waste time re-explaining things that readers would have learned in the first 3 books. I loved it and appreciated the surprise side quest.

Fantastic side story - must read before moving to book 4.

This installment did not disappoint. The husband's story was interesting from start to finish and it was really fun reading about the same events from his point of view. the beginning was especially gripping since he started in a very populated area so monster spawns were very fast, leading to completely different challenges. There was also a moment when he notes that one of what we know to be his wife's signature skills was is terrible choice. That was one of a few Easter eggs I really enjoyed. This book has a lot faster pace so it's better to read the first three before diving into this one, as a lot of the mechanics arenot explained thoroughly here. My one gripe is that female voices weren't great but the narrator was otherwise fantastic to listen to.

amazing story

progression and pacing was amazing keep em coming. as a parent this makes you think what would you do and how far would you go to make it back to your family. answer is all of it.

An amazing addition to the series

I absolutely adored this book, from start to finish. There was not a moment where I wasn’t excited about reading it. I laughed and I cried. This story is so heartfelt at its core and I’m so excited for more - especially knowing both Megan and Vince now.

So, Vince is amazing. He is this very blunt guy; not afraid to just say whatever needs to be said. But he’s also extremely loyal… and also extremely quick to make decisions. He’s reckless at times and also thoughtful of others’ needs. It’s funny how realistic he is. I can picture him so CLEARLY in my head. And I love his coworkers too. They’re all so endearing. You get to know them over their journey and you just want to be a part of their group. It’s so much fun.

What I love most about this series is that Erin has taken this event that is so out of this world and created such a realistic take on it. We have characters who feel like our friends and family and neighbors. They’re trying their best with what they’re given. You can’t help but root for them and want to be their friend.

I also really loved that even though Megan and Vince had the same starting point, their journeys were so different! I had to laugh at all the times Vince was worried about Megan, knowing that she was kicking ass over in Huntsville. The black and white armband appearance made me want to cry, knowing what they mean in the original series. 🥹 This book had so many moments where I just wanted to cry happy tears or sad tears. But also so many moments of hilarity - and its hilarity that isn’t forced!

I adore this series. I need more immediately but have to wait a few more weeks for book four on audio 😭 I need more Vince and Megan and their kids now.

Also MAJOR props to the narrator - I adored his voice for Vince. Spot on.

I love this series, but this had a large group of adults, acting more foolishly than the main storyline's children. This book is about engineers, but not for one second did I believe that any of them were engineers. the most they do is talk about how cool science is, and follow the basics of science to form hypothesis. Engineers design and manufacture things, and these people are ou t right discussing how they've never built anything in their lives. Every single one of them rushes thier choices, even after they decide to finally for a scientific principle, and we are expected to root for these idiots? At least the kids in the main series know how to wait when they are told to. Also, half the cast are named after thier DnD characters rather than having actual names. its really wierd.

another great book

if you liked her other trilogy. You'll enjoy this one too. and there is a 15 word minimum.

why is this so amazingly good?

this is probably one of my favorite ongoing series right now and every chapter just hits perfectly. Aaron & knock out of the park on this one. and you can listen toost of this without having also listened to apocalypse parenting but they're all so good.
