Great series overall.
one of the books seemed to just be a filler and was slow and uneventful, but it came together for a great ending.

Finally finished the 9th book, WOW!

Joshua Dalzelle has a very brilliant mind and extensive knowledge of how Navy works. The plethora of terms factual and fictional in this space opera were a lot, in a very good way, I have learned how every aspect of Navy works. Also, the systems and upgrades of the spaceships, the battle formations, the models of different spaceships and the difference between them, all these details have put me inside this epic story and maximized my enjoyment. I have loved every minute I spent with these books and I really recommend them for anyone who likes space science fiction. Lest we forget, the legendary performance of Mark Boyett, I wouldn't dare to imagine these books narrated by another. His performance and consistency from book to book was really admirable. From the accent, you would know who is talking without being told their names, it's that good. Although, I think there was a change in Michael Barrett voice between the Expansion War Trilogy and the Unification War Trilogy, it confused me a little but it didn't bother me at all. Thank you both so much for these long hours of enjoyment.
