A Compelling Biography

A biography that hears like a mystery novel kept me coming back and looking forward to time to listen. My interests were served whether science, business, history or romance. And, to boot, while this amazing person is still living.

A great visionary

I think that the last analysis of Elon in the book is valid; that he has a empathy and vision for the fate of humanity. Unlike all his detractors, he has and will continue to counter the forces that can ruin our future and make them look like the fools they are. This was a good insight into his incredible trials, agonies and successes. As Star Trek Discovery noted, Elon is as important to our species as Wright Brothers and the fictional Zephram Cochrane. He is truly an inspiring and admirable visionary.

Inspirational

This book inspired me to work harder and smarter. Elon had a vision for what he wanted in life. It wasn't about money or success; it was about making his dreams come true. He grew up being bullied and he was use to the doubters and haters. He believed in himself and believed in his vision.

Great listen

A very good insight into Elon's world. I find the book riveting, though a bit schizophrenic in pace at times. Prior to reading the book, I know nothing about he man other than from brief new clips. Always thought of him as some way to the left activist type. I've gained much respect for his vision and understand him better as a person. A very good book.

great biography

After a string of bad business books, my expectations were low going into this one, but I immediately became drawn in. The book is very well written and researched and the author does a great job cataloging and bringing together many different businesses and experiences. The author is honest in his assessments and brings in a lot of sources, but stays very respectful to Elon Musk. Highly recommended read!

Best book I have ever read in my entire life. It makes me want to do great things. If you're an optimistic dreamer, you will like this book. Very well written, tons of thorough research by the author, JR MacGregor.

Fifty years from now, Elon will rank with Ford...

Full disclosure... Elon works for me. As a stock holder in Tesla I wanted to learn more about the unicorn that runs this extraordinary company. It's entertaining and gives a thumbnail sketch of the man who built a great electric car and now will sell you a roof to power it.

Indepth publishing about Musk

This book shows more why Musk became the man he is today. It is really an in-depth look at his personal life and survival instincts. I learned a lot listening the book. It shows that Elon Musk had an early interest in clean energy and that he always had a vision for his life. I also enjoyed the book on Jeff Bezos by this same author.

Well researched biography of one of the great men

What a fascinating guy! He may turn out to be the most outstanding genius of our age. I love that he is working on things that matter: a switch to more sustainable fuels and a quest to outer space. I have often thought that the reason the human race needed to go out into space is that our species' survival might one day depend on it. I still fear that's true as we overrun and destroy so much of our planet's ecosystem. Musk is intelligent, daring--and rich--enough to try to do something about it. May the Force be with him!

A must listen.

Author did a very good job. I could read chapters and remember the news or past articles in the same order. I devoured the book at home and in my non-Tesla car. I hope my kid will listen it soon. I am impressed by what Elon did and does. I hope and think he will succeed. There are also funny moments and the narrator has a great voice too which is very helpful. Well, there are also sad moments. Lots of insight from a psychological perspective.
