In her 30s, Judy Cochrane had by most standards realized the American Dream. In 2000, her husband Bill’s start-up company sold for 90 million. Their college romance and tireless work ethic built a bright future for their family, as well as a portfolio of 35 million. But just as the stars aligned for the 90 million sale of their company, they also fell apart. They went from living in a gated home perched on a mountaintop in Tucson, Arizona, to life in a beat-up rental, without job security and on food stamps.

With pressure at every turn: three young kids, a failing economy, health concerns, a troubled marriage, and the loss of everything the family had built, time alone and getting grounded seemed impossible. With what little faith she could muster, she sought for a miracle. It came in the form of an 11-day house-sitting opportunity in Santa Barbara, California. During Cochrane’s quest, her spiritual guides and new friends included a surfer-musician, a dying writing professor, an Episcopal minister, a gifted intuitive healer, a pair of tattoo artists, a septuagenarian yoga practitioner, a homeless preacher, a foul-mouthed auto mechanic, two dogs and a cat, and the Pacific Ocean.

Amazing read

I don't think I could ever put into words my love for this book. I looked forward to listening every morning. I feel as if I know Judy from reading and her voice is a soothing as they come. I connected to this story and many things resonated with me. Judy had me laughing, crying and blurting out comments throughout my whole read. I am looking forward to reading her other books. Can't Dare Without Truth

i met the author's sons when visiting a friend in Dallas. After briefly chatting, their friend suggested I read this book based on some similarities he saw... to say "I loved this book" is an understatement. I love Judy's vulnerability, truth, joy, and grit. I feel like I know her, and somehow know myself more. What a great "love story"

If you like rich white wealthy chicks

Sure she lost all her money and continued to keep her famity together throughout. However, how many truly poor people sign up for New Agey yoga, spiritual retreats, chakra, meditation and generally expensive personal appointments while collecting food stamps.

MAGICAL, HEARTFELT & VULNERABLE!

I loved this book! The author wrote her story beautifully with immense vulnerability, humility, and strength. It's a reminder the true magic of the world we live in is always available if we are open to see and receive it. She had me crying at times, laughing at others, and rooting for her sweet family along the way. The author’s style absorbs you into her journey, and I felt I was walking her path alongside her. It is a heartfelt and healing story that delivers a powerful message through the healers we call self-awareness, forgiveness, and love. I highly recommend it!

Captivating and healing

This book is captivating. So much raw and honest detail in every chapter that I felt as if I was with Judy every step of her journey. I laughed, sometimes I was shocked and other times I teared up. This book is more than just a good read, it is healing. It is powerful.

I first heard of this book on a podcast called MFCEO. She was a guest on their show to talk about her book. Sounded interesting and I decided to check it out.

I waited patiently for the audible to come out and boy was it worth the wait!

It was a fabulous story with life lessons attached. It’s thought provoking and self reflecting. It shares intimate stories while making you laugh out loud. And I love the surprise at the end! =)

On a treadmill…in tears!

I downloaded “11 days” got on a treadmill and within a couple of minutes began using my sweat towel for tears.

All the brokenness I’ve been healing from over the years re-surfaced but this time as a reminder of how far I’ve come. Judy beautifully takes the readers on a rollercoaster and every person who gets on it is in for a ride. 3 words I would use to describe her book - healing, shocking & hilarious!!

I listened to the audio book while working out, driving, washing the dishes and even showering and finished it in 2 days. It’s SO GOOD you can’t put it down! Get ready to be awakened from within!!
