Way better than expected!

Got this older book looking to find something fun and nostalgic based mainly on the title.
Man, was I thrilled when this exceeded my expectations.
Noble fop who was into dueling other noble fops got falsely accused of his brother's murder and was then banished to the underworld.
There he was captured and was made a gladiator slave.
Can't say much more without giving it all away.
Great story, characters, action and spice.
I'm giving this book 8 out of 5 stars.

pleasant surprise

Gotta say, I was not expecting this to be any good.

I won't go so far as to say that this is some masterpiece, but for what it is (that being the origin for a revenge story with a harem) it was great!

Characters were good, relations between them were believable, and the darker angle of the story was a nice twist without being all broddy/edgy.

And of course, the voice actors were great as well 👍👌

Well done.

Awesome book, great narration. action packed, fast paced and wonderful story. I can't wait for the next book in series.

well written

I haven't heard of this author before listening so I wasn't sure what to expect, thankfully I was pleasantly surprised. Very well written and the spicy scenes added flavor without taking away from the story.

Slow start turns into cant stop listening

Definitely a slower start than I wanted however just stick with it and you will be rewarded. Also, narration is too notch (Alyssa Poon…God Bless you) and made it easy to get caught up in the world Chet has created. Cannot wait for second volume!!

Not bad for a 1st book

Without giving anything away, I'll say this was a pretty decent first book. The premise is good but the way it's written takes a little while to get used to. The best thing I can say about the book is that I want book 2.
