Resumen del Editor

The Dreamer's dream is deeply rooted in the American Dream. This dream is the result of arriving to the United States as children through no fault of their own. An unintended consequence of good people who simply wanted a better life for their children.

There is one thing that unites Dreamers and non-Dreamers alike: We are working hard to better ourselves and our communities. We all want a better life for our kids and family.

As we look back throughout history, what is just and right becomes evident. I don't want the next generation to look back and wonder why good people stood silent and did nothing.

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." - Martin Luther King Jr.

At the end of the day, we are all more alike than we are different. We all love this country and want to build a better future here. We are all after the same thing....

A chance to go after the American Dream.

We are all dreamers

A quick and heartfelt reminder!

Dreamers Have a Dream Too
By: Ed Escoto
Narrated by: Kevin Theis
This is a book that was free to me and the review is voluntary.
The first part of the book the narrator recites Martin Luther King Jr's I Have a Dream speech and discusses racial justice. Then we follow along to the Dreamer plight of today. Myths vs truths are discussed and again it's all about racial justice and equality. Some of these Dreamers have been in America all their lives, from infant, toddler, or young child and raised here. How could anyone expect them to be deported to a country they don't know? They are just like you and I, they are not taking our jobs, but they are given a chance to live. DACA is a program that works, testimony from Dreamers included. But we all knew this anyway. It's a program of compassion and common sense.
It's good to be reminded of others plight to see just how self centered a person can get in troubled times like these. Dreamers have to deal with both!
Narration was fair to good.
