Not entirely worth the wait..but I love Maya Banks

What did you like best about Dominated? What did you like least?

Hmm, I had no "best" that I liked in the book. What I didn't like was that Evangelene was way to forgiving of Drake. I mean, even as a submissive, she never really made him "work" for it before she plunged right back into his lifestyle, without knowing what the hell his "life" entailed.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I hated the ending. I hated that she AGAIN gave in to him so easily once he destroyed her for a 2nd time within months of getting back together after she took him back. I hated that she begged and pleaded with him for forgiveness when he showed no sign of having a rational thought process.

What aspect of Jeremy York’s performance would you have changed?

I liked Jeremy's reading of the book..I don't know if Evangelene was supposed to sound like a country hick without a lick of good sense or it was just his rendition of a woman's voice. Either way, his rendition of Evangelene was either awful or on point.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Evangelene would be submissive and still not be a door mat. If I hear her say "I'll stay as long as you want me here" one more time, I was going to scream. I have never seen a woman give over so much of herself to someone with no regards to her wants and needs.

Any additional comments?

I love Maya and will read the additional books as they come, but Evanglene was a hot mess in book 1 and 2..she has no spine, backbone or sense of self preservation. While I understand that Drake had a an awful upbringing and didn't know or understand Jack about being in relationship let alone in love, he was just plan awful to her and hateful on two occasions. He never, not once, gave an ounce of blood, so to speak, for her. Why they had the connection they had I will never know. The only saving grace was Silas, Maddox, and Justice. If not for them, that poor girl wouldn't have had any self respect.

I loved this book. I never cried so much while listening to this story. This book was fantastic and exciting to listen to. Maya you have written a great series. You also picked a fantastic narrator.

love the story line mixed with the aggressive nature and passive/submissive vulnerability of so e of the characters..enjoyed it thoroughly!!

I had so many emotions revolving around Evangeline and Drakes story. A MUST read.

worth reading again.

this 2nd book allowed me to at least put it down. I only have to say worth the money and hope there will be more to this series. it really sucks you in mentally and emotionally. it so touches your heart your mind and your kink if you so desire.

Was just ok

I was Disappointed in this audiobook it was too over the top lovey-dovey like it was very hard to believe and I know it's fiction ( Duh) I just like stories that I read to be somewhat believable in the chance it may happen to someone but the amount of times I stopped listening and I was like yeah right! made it a just ok book for me. bear in mind I am very picky when it comes to audiobooks and voices and the fact that I did not like those, in this case, could be a factor in me not liking the book and much as I thought I would.

this would have been a great book if it was shorter!! way to much thought going off in the middle of seine or just ramble on and on saying the samething over and over again!!! at some points I just really wanted to smack them!

This was funny and said. Not expecting some of the events that happens. Evogeline was definitely a true herione
