Dirty Talk is a winning Second Chance Romance

Second Chance Romances are my jam (or one of them I guess I should say) and I have been looking forward to this one for a while.

Luke is everything you could want in a romantic hero. He's a dirty talking hottie who is dedicated to getting what he wants.What he wants is Jane. I adored Luke, he's the type of character that sucks you in and hooks you deep.

Jane has made mistakes in the past, she's taken things at face value when she shouldn't have, she's let herself be walked over and she's let herself suffer. But she's also not the type to just be down for the count, she's got a backbone and she's got strength. I really felt like she grew a lot from page one til the end of the story, she never let herself excused, rather she owned her mistakes and her desires, and everything in between.

This story did a number on my heart, and saying that is a good thing, because it was. This story is emotional in so many ways. I had all the feels while reading this, moments where I laughed, or wanted to cry, times when I wanted to knock some sense into a character and others where I just wanted to give them a hug. I loved how all of the pieces just fit together, the past and the present, the actions of both Luke and Jane, their thoughts and feelings, everything it was all on point and really gave the story a depth and realism.

I loved the interactions between Jane and Luke, how it wasn't just an 'Oh, we're stuck together, lets make the best of it'. I loved the emotions these characters gave me, their struggles and their pain, their hopes for the future all of it building up the story and pulling me further and further in. Dirty Talk was a second chance romance, yes, but it was also truly something more and I enjoyed every single page of this tale.

The audiobook of this amazing story was beautifully narrated and pulled me, once again, right into the story and kept me there.

The history, pain, redemption and HEA they were seeking was well narrated.

Melissa and Joe was this audiobboks saving grace. They made me carry on even when things turned OTT ridiculous.

The Story Dragged a Little

Narration was excellent for this book! I loved the dual narration and the perspectives of these characters. It was so fun to hear how each narrator inflected different character's tones and voices.

For the story I thought the premise was interesting, but it promised more drama than we got. Also back and forth of the romance was a little too much for me. I wished after the first couple of times they got completely together. Overall I really enjoyed this listening experience and that's probably what kept me in it to the end. I also am happy to report the characters do get their HEA and it's beautiful!

Drawn out and juvenile

This book could have been wrapped up in one chapter. Characters were juvenile. All their issues would have been wrapped up with one simple conversation. The push and pull with these two was frustrating. I want you, no I don’t, but I do, I change my mind so go away, wait, I change it back so come here, no go away….and on and on it goes!

Soo Good!

This book took me through so many emotions~ I loved the characters, the story and the narration! I feel like this book really hit it out of the park. It was the sweetest 2nd chance romance where you are just screaming at the characters to pull it together. Loved it!

The narration really was fantastic! The voices were clear and very enjoyable to listen to. I would love to listen to more of their work.
