Dirty Talk is a winning Second Chance Romance

Second Chance Romances are my jam (or one of them I guess I should say) and I have been looking forward to this one for a while.

Luke is everything you could want in a romantic hero. He's a dirty talking hottie who is dedicated to getting what he wants.What he wants is Jane. I adored Luke, he's the type of character that sucks you in and hooks you deep.

Jane has made mistakes in the past, she's taken things at face value when she shouldn't have, she's let herself be walked over and she's let herself suffer. But she's also not the type to just be down for the count, she's got a backbone and she's got strength. I really felt like she grew a lot from page one til the end of the story, she never let herself excused, rather she owned her mistakes and her desires, and everything in between.

This story did a number on my heart, and saying that is a good thing, because it was. This story is emotional in so many ways. I had all the feels while reading this, moments where I laughed, or wanted to cry, times when I wanted to knock some sense into a character and others where I just wanted to give them a hug. I loved how all of the pieces just fit together, the past and the present, the actions of both Luke and Jane, their thoughts and feelings, everything it was all on point and really gave the story a depth and realism.

I loved the interactions between Jane and Luke, how it wasn't just an 'Oh, we're stuck together, lets make the best of it'. I loved the emotions these characters gave me, their struggles and their pain, their hopes for the future all of it building up the story and pulling me further and further in. Dirty Talk was a second chance romance, yes, but it was also truly something more and I enjoyed every single page of this tale.

The audiobook of this amazing story was beautifully narrated and pulled me, once again, right into the story and kept me there.

The history, pain, redemption and HEA they were seeking was well narrated.

Melissa and Joe was this audiobboks saving grace. They made me carry on even when things turned OTT ridiculous.

The Story Dragged a Little

Narration was excellent for this book! I loved the dual narration and the perspectives of these characters. It was so fun to hear how each narrator inflected different character's tones and voices.

For the story I thought the premise was interesting, but it promised more drama than we got. Also back and forth of the romance was a little too much for me. I wished after the first couple of times they got completely together. Overall I really enjoyed this listening experience and that's probably what kept me in it to the end. I also am happy to report the characters do get their HEA and it's beautiful!

Drawn out and juvenile

This book could have been wrapped up in one chapter. Characters were juvenile. All their issues would have been wrapped up with one simple conversation. The push and pull with these two was frustrating. I want you, no I don’t, but I do, I change my mind so go away, wait, I change it back so come here, no go away….and on and on it goes!

Soo Good!

This book took me through so many emotions~ I loved the characters, the story and the narration! I feel like this book really hit it out of the park. It was the sweetest 2nd chance romance where you are just screaming at the characters to pull it together. Loved it!

The narration really was fantastic! The voices were clear and very enjoyable to listen to. I would love to listen to more of their work.

A delightful second chance romance!

Dirty Talk was a comical and sexy story full of angst and passion. This is a book about regrets, learning from mistakes, moving forward, and making a new future while trusting in your destiny. SL Scott did a great job with the descriptiveness of emotions and settings. It was easy to connect to the characters, what they are feeling and makes you want to visit where their set is located. The characters are flawed, real and complex. They are people that you can easily relate to and see apart of yourself in. An emotional and breathtaking second chance romance, it will take a piece of you when you get finished!

Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel did a good job with the narration. They had clear and crisp voices that were easy to follow. The only thing I would have preferred was for the male to read all the male parts and the female reading all the female parts. However, it was still a good narration and was enjoyable.

Luke and Janie are perfect!

I wanted Luke's story when I met him in Sweet Talk. He's Danny's friend and he seemed to be in a world of pain.

But I had no idea Janie would be the girl for him.
She had always been the girl for him.

But something went wrong and they parted ways.
She found someone new.

Luke found his solace in the beds of the women in LA.
Janie found her solace in the bed of a total jerk.

But fate or kismet or destiny refused to keep these two lovers apart.

And the second-chance love story is beautifully done. Luke and Jane are perfect for each other. They not only want and need each other, they were made for each other.

The narrators are great. I felt more in tune with the characters thanks to the narrators who really brought Luke and Jane to life.

The one that got away...and finally came back! <3

Dirty talk was a fast listen, filled with tears, laughter and steamy times. Failed relationship between Luke and Jane was a big heartbreak for both of them.
I don't know why but this story touched me or I can relate with feeling that »the one« got away.
Luke is everything you could ever want in a man. Caring, funny, hot and so in love in Jane that it hurts even thou he sometimes has a funny way of showing it.
Jane is a woman how loves with everything she has. Being confident, playful when she gets back together with Luke makes her really special.

I really loved this story and I’m so happy I got a chance to listen to it.
Try it – you’re gonna love it too, I’m sure!

Loved Luke & Jane

First off, the narrators were fantastic! Really enjoyed their performance.
This is a second chance story that follows Sweet Talk, although it's not necessary to read that one. Luke and Jane were high school sweethearts. After a breakup, they are forced to spend a month together on a movie set. These two still care about each other, however the timing has never seemed to be right for them. Luke is totally lovable and Jane is a strong, sexy woman. This is a sweet romance with a couple heart stopping moments rolled in. And the ending was just perfect!

Perfection!

What a great book!!! Everyone needs to meet Luke Anders…. I mean, who doesn’t love a dirty talking romantic? That is exactly what Luke is too, a dirty talking romantic at heart! This is a GREAT second chance love story! Luke will totally walk away with your heart! I’m not gonna like here; Luke won me over right from the start! The humor and quick wit was completely heart-stealing! He just oozes this sexuality… and a personality… he was completely sex in jeans!

Jane has been head over heels in love with Luke for as long as she can remember. However, she was read for more. He wasn’t and couldn’t make him understand so she walked away. She left her broken heart at his feet and took his heart with her. Here we are years later and they are tossed together… professionally… they have to work together. I’ll be honest; I wanted to smack Jane around a bit… stop messing with my man! She went so back and forth with Luke that I’m shocked he didn’t have whiplash! It was hot and cold, fire and ice. They are just complicated and their history is full of pain… but full of love too!

Now Luke has one chance to win her back and show her what she really means to him. I loved how Luke really figured out what he wanted and went for it! He wasn’t taking his heart back… he wanted Jane’s! What do you think… can they find their way back to each other? Is it too late or has too much time apart changed them so much? Totally a sweet and heart-warming story that will tingle your heart! I loved the bit of angst and the wit all tossed in!!

The narrators were amazing here!! Seriously, I love Joe Hempel!! Melissa Moran complimented him so well! They really had great chemistry together! I found myself smiling… just walking around with my headset on… smiling! I adored them! I’ve never seen this side of Hempel’s narration skills before… it was a hit for me!! They knocked Dirty Talk out of the park! Seriously, it was brought to life right in my head!
