I preferred Kristin Atherton’s narration

Another great Kate Marshall book, but Jan Kramer’s narration is just too precise for these characters and the accents felt over the top. Kristin Atherton, who did the previous Kate Marshall books, did a much better job of voicing different characters.

Never disappoints

Great story and narration! Twist’s and turns in several directions.
Can’t wait for the next in this series!!

Another great mystery

Love Robert Bryndza, his story telling is the best. Just when you think you have the mystery solved there is a fantastic twist. I have read and listened to both series. Highly recommend.

Another great story.

The only problem is now I have to wait for Robert Brynzda to write another book. Other listeners seemed to have a problem with Jan Cramer’s narration but it didn’t bother me a bit. I guess I’m used to her voice and narration and I think she’s pretty talented.

Suspenseful, good character development, creative story line, interesting story line, kept me guessing until the end

Favorite author delivers again

Why I loved this book: excellent story. Author is first class story teller.Returning characters grow & get even smarter. Story characters are interesting, Flawed, Had hard times. Keep trying to solve things from their past. And Dartmoor setting: wonderfully evoked. At times I imagined the ghost of Sherlock Holmes hovering behind the tor.

What I'd change: the narrator. Voice too sweet for tough stuff, which gives a jarring effect.

This book moves incredibly fast. I couldn't believe it was over so quickly. Really commands attention even with this narrator.

Another excellent Kate and Tristan

Excellent story line as usual. What stands out is the raw/honest insights from Kate (don’t want to spoil the story). Tristan really comes into his own in this story. Highly recommend

The narration felt forced- took away from the story for me. Did the narrator change or take a different approach?

Why did they change the narrator!!?? While it was okay, I was used to the other narrator and I felt she changed Kate and Tristan's personalities with her performance....

I adore Kate, Tristan and beloved Erica Foster. I appreciate it when there is great clever detective work and less gruesome violence. Wonderful work, Mr Bryndza. Well done!
