I loved the love story, the suspense thorough out the story, the story was told in a way that held your interest and help you visualize all the places in the story. It left me wanting more.

Beauty and boldness

This is a story of an unfathomed love. Billie and Drew hail from different worlds yet a very interesting chain of events changes their lives in ways unimaginable. Beverly Jenkins has done it again with this tale of beauty and boldness. I loved this one too. I'm on to the next one!

EXCELLENT JUST EXCELLENT!!!!!!

Thomas Penny gives this story the finesse it needs and makes it easy to visualize everything happening in this adventurous, beautiful, action packed love story! This story is hands down my favorite. I read it twice on my own and now on audible and it made me love it even more!

Another sensational story

The expectation for this book was met with greatness. I'm a true Beverly Jenkins fan. She did a wonderful job bringing the story of the unlikely bride, Billi, a prostitute, into the land of Destiny. I can always count on Jenkins to tell a great story that's full of love and surprises. Now, where I think Thomas Penny is a good narrator and he did a good job here, I was a bit disappointed that Shari Peele, the narrator for Destiny's Embrace Book 1, didn't read for this one. I think that would have made this book even better.

Better story

This one was better than destiny embrace. I liked that there was more conflict for the characters!

Another Amazing Jenkins Tale

Was not sure I’d like a male narrator for this one but the story is so vivid and breathtaking that it didn’t really matter as I devoured this book in one sitting.

I wasn’t keen on the mispronounced Spanish but it didn’t take too much away from the story. Would have been nice to have a Latinx narrator to make it sound more authentic.

Great writing Ms. Jenkins.

I love must of Ms. Jenkins historical romance novels. Some of the narrates not so much. This one had multiple plots as do must of her books, With that said it was an easy page turner. her books are filled with romance as well as education... this is not a bargain but a really good buy. I would love to see more of her book on audio. Thomas Penny did a great job as well.

I love all three stories of the Yates men and their wife's and Lanza was the best part with here marriage..

Beverly Jenkins really outdid herself with this suspenseful romance of two people from totally different backgrounds. I love how both Billie and Drew were strong and resourceful when solving problems meant to destroy them. I love how Billie kept her head held high and wasn’t ashamed of her circumstances or the hand she was dealt in life. She was the epitome of a good woman with a loving spirit, forgiving countenance and warrior’s heart. Drew was patient, hardworking and a protector of all he held dear to him. Drew was also genuinely kind, generous and I loved that he accepted Billie for who she was. Thomas Penny was an excellent narrator. This was a wonderful listen.
