Easy to love

The story of Belle is told so clear and vividly. The plight of slaves and Freeman was very apparent.

A must read if you like historical romance. Wonderful plot, spot on historical references. Hopefully there will be a sequel.

The storyline was gripping and encouraging. I felt like I was there. The characters were well written and I loved the way I didn’t hear the narrator talking. I felt like I was listening in on a real life experience.

Par Excellence - Belle

The most memorable moment was the support given Belle by Daniel's mother. She.became a "surrogate" for Belle, something that used to be very common in southern black families.

Simply Awesome!!!

This was truly a great read. I loved every character including Francine, who was a hot mess. I'm recommending this book to anyone who will listen.
