When I put the ad in my university’s newspaper, the last thing I ever expect is for the star football player to respond. From what I know of him, Abel Russo is a womanizer and an absolute jerk.

Sadly, he’s the only thing stopping me from being evicted by my annoyingly gleeful landlord. It should be easy enough - there’s no chance we’ll fall for each other. But then he gives me lingering looks, and I might just be looking back.

Starbursts Girl

Totally awesome story, amazing characters and narrator. Loved when Lou and friends come up with plan to get Abel back. Look forward to reading more from this author. I received free audible code for my honest opinion.

This made me laugh so much...

This is the first book I read/listened to and I couldn't put this down. I enjoyed the banter between Lou and Abe. I loved the dialog of Lou and her best friend Miranda. How Miranda will always have her back and do outlandish stuff. I nearly spit my drink out several times of her comments. I can't wait for the 2nd book of this series.

Witty, fun, love story.

I really enjoyed this book! Strong female characters and a male lead that isn't your typical paint by numbers.

The narrator made me laugh so dang much. She nailed this story and made Smeltzer's writing shine even more!

Good book

This was a really sweet feel good kind of book. Girl character very quirky and different. A story that made you feel good without a lot of doubting on the characters part. Worth the money.

Quirky and witty... laugh out loud fun!

A new-to-me author and narrator, I can’t express how much I loved this romantic comedy! Lou is looking for a roommate and has quite an interesting list of qualifications/rules. When fate sends Abel, Mr. Popular football player, her way the stars have aligned because they are the best opposites attract, perfect-for-each-other couple! I love that Lou and her bestie are not portrayed as “barbie dolls” but rather flaunt their curves, love to eat and are totally confident in who they are. Their personalities, especially Lou’s, had me laughing out loud with all the quirky and witty things she say and do. This friends-to-lovers romance was hilarious, but it also had sweet and honest moments and very relatable issues of acceptance and trust that comes along with new love. Because of Lou, I will always strive to be a pink Starburst! Narrated by Addison Barnes, she was so entertaining and gave so much life and personality to Lou, as well as her vast array of voices for the secondary characters. It truly was such a fun and entertaining listening experience.

Cute book

This is a new author for me. I really enjoyed the story. These two were cute from the beginning. I love how Lou is this off the wall character. She’s entertaining and REAL. I like the fact that she is curvy and owns it. Who knew putting up an add for a roommate would make the captain of the football team become her new roommate. From the start he was intrigued by her quarks. Super cute listen. I do think it would of better having a male narrator do Abel’s chapters but that’s a personal preference. Addison did a great job.

This was probably my fav Micalea Smeltzer book to date! The chemistry between MCs was off the charts and it was so funny! I laughed out loud a few times!

Audio performance was also on point! Definitely reccomend this book!

Dual Narration would have been better

A male narrator would have been better. It dragged a bit and the climax was a bit lame. It was a decent listen buy not something I would listen to more than once.
