Only rooting for Thomas

It was okay, my least favorite of the series. I loved Tom's character from the beginning and was waiting for his happy ending but at the end I just kind of felt sorry for him having to go through all he went through for Dori only to be treated how he was and her sudden realization that she loved him seemed unbelievable and hollow. I actually liked Dori's character in the previous book but in this one I just felt she was too cold/blunt and for all her talk of being honest , she never communicated the important things that could mend their relationship and was always quick to distance herself from Tom. I did also feel like in all the books, the author relies too much on rehashing the same conversations so by the end I just wanted it over with because the characters were explaining to each other and to us something they had already said a millionth time. I don't regret listening to this series but don't think it's a series I would revisit.

What A Frustrating Story

This my second review I could not edit the first one.
This is probably a great story for some. For me it was a letdown. The plot is good but the development of the characters poor. It starts with a statement about the heroine refusing five offers of marriage, her assumption being none of the men would have let her compose and play music. Her character is developed in such way that it doesn’t lend itself to any real sympathy for her and so goes the whole story. Never has a story had such good bones and such a poor development of what could have been great characters. The phrase that comes to mind about the characters development is schizophrenic nonsense. By the end of the book I wanted throttle both the main characters.
