Random Find, Total Gem!

I stumbled across this looking at what was included in my membership, and decided I'd give it a few minutes. I couldn't stop listening once I started! incredibly interesting, thought-provoking, and a quick listen. I give it six stars if I could!

Great find!!

I’m Russian living in the U.S. for the last 25 years. This book was a Time Machine that took me back to my early years in Russia. I couldn’t stop listening until I finished: The story, the narration, the music- everything was on point. Greatly enjoyed; highly recommended, especially if you are familiar with the topic.

First Binge Book in Ages!

I'm the type of person that will either love or hate a book within the first paragraph. I started this audio book when I started my shift this morning and just finished it in one sitting, so as far as my standards go it was brilliant! Good pace, good readers, great book!

I liked it

It was good, informative, with a good narrator, and a good pace. I enjoyed it. Only I wonder how his wife felt all that time. I still wondering if KGB agents have any say in who they will be married to.

A Political Grand Master

Although it is a slanted view of a former KGB and FSB chief, this story shows that he, a chess master is pitted against a doddering old fool.

This guy is freaking scary

The team who put this show together did a fantastic job. I commend them for their work …and bravery. Everyone should learn about the history of the Deputy Mayor. The world needs to know who is behind those decisions coming from Moscow.

Well explain rise

Very interesting for one who doesn’t follow the news much. Well told story that explains why we should all be concerned

Admire the input of experts emphasis on what is not known and sound design. A packed broadcast without the speculation so common in podcasts

Great narrator’s as well

Lucky, opportunistic, and ruthless.

Well sourced and produced, and a fairly short listen. His rise was so improbable, as a rather unremarkable figure, who nearly became cab twice in the 1990s Sadly, he did attach himself to some flawed, but successful politicians, with one foot in the underworld. Many good Russian people have been silenced or killed trying to expose or oppose him.
