Waking up in a strange world as something called a Dungeon Core with more than a few things around him that would be happy to kill him, he begins work on building his defenses while learning about the world. Luckily for him, his new form's abilities happens to be exactly like the strategy games he loved back on Earth. He was a pro then, he would be a pro again.

A wonderful bit of storytelling.
While it's predictable in all the best ways, the characters are likable and well flashed out. The story does not become overly grim even though the undead there's are present. It was a joy to read.

Interesting take on an overused theme.
I have no idea how this dungeon is going to progress. For that alone it's worth reading. I had to speed up the narration by 1.10. It changed his grumble mumble into a up beat read. It's not a slow book and shouldn't be read as one.I wanted to say something about the narration so that it doesn't keep people from giving this book a chance. I will update when finished.
edit: What Where How and Why. What happened to him? Where is he? How does the system work? The Why is so many questions that I don't know where to start. Answers I Need Answers! Was there a prequel that I missed? There is no world building. Do some world building. The concept is original.
This is the first book in. I'll try the second book with my fingers crossed because I want to see an information dump about the first book happens. It's okay if I have to read flashbacks. I like what you're trying to do. I will try to finish the first book before the second one.
