Resumen del Editor

Arik Dacre survived the betrayal on the border of the Jade and Crimson Realm. Now, he has one mission left...

A coronation in the Crimson Realm gives Arik the best chance he's had yet to find and rescue his sister. But before he goes there, he'll need to head to the birthplace of the original War Priest to find the Demon Charm of Katano.

No matter his control over chi, the charm may prove too much for Arik to handle. This leaves Arik with the ultimate dilemma: push his power to the limit and unravel the conspiracy that has led to a continental betrayal, or start a new journey, one that could change the very nature of his world from the ground up.

There's no turning back now. Arik's epic journey comes to a close in the final installment of the War Priest series.

Leap into an epic saga that merges Eastern cultivation and progression fantasy, where infinite possibilities can be realized if one can master their understanding of chi. From Harmon Cooper, author of the instant bestseller Pilgrim, comes a Japanese mythology-inspired story for fans of Inuyasha, Demon Slayer, and Ghost of Tsushima.

What starts as a harrowing coming-of-age story morphs into a journey of growth through multiclassing and mastering combat techniques as Arik rises from the ashes to seize his destiny.

Sorry to see it end

This was a fitting end to the series. I hate to see it go and I wish the books were a little longer. And as always, Travis does an amazing job with his narration.

Such a great series!

I love the human aspect of this book, Arik showcasing that yes you can be the good guy but also the good can can still be tempted and corruptible, but with a good support system you can make it through! That is my favorite part about this book such a great message. The ending as well was just perfect camaraderie just what we all wanted!
Thanks as always to Travis for his excellent work!

Great End to a Great Series

I'm sad to see the series end as I've enjoyed all of the characters. Cooper does a great job tying up lose ends and bringing everyone together.

Disappointing

Barely worth the credit in order to finish the series. While Arik was framed as the MC, in actuality, it was Tayaura who was the prime mover in the final two books. The book ends with Tayaura still referring to Arik first as disciple then, sometimes following it by his name. Additionally, Arik always came off as a beta male in their relationship, even at the end. This book should have switched the characters roles with Tayaura being the MC and Arik being her disciple.

The author seemed to have lost interest in the series by the use of deus ex machina being needed to get around several difficult situations like the use of the necklace. If it were just the necklace it would have been okay but then they happened upon a bakeneko yōkai who happened to be a supernatural shape shifter who was needed for the final boss battle. Speaking of which, all of the major battles seemed somewhat anti-climatic compared to the previous encounters with the superior antagonists.

Lastly, the final disposition of Arik's sister was dismaying as well as the relationship between Tayaura and Arik left ambiguous.

Travis Baldree's excellent performance was what allowed me to finish the book which with a lesser narrator, I would have stopped no more than three quarters the way through.
