A great new series

This is book two of the Sue Lee series. Sue Lee Ono is now a Captain in the United States Army. She is a code breaker but her vast language skills have her being assigned to espionage assignments.

In this story Sue Lee is sent to Nazi occupied Paris, France to find and liberate a Jewish scientist. Sue Lee is working under pressure as the Gestapo is in the process of rounding up all the Jews to ship them off to concentration camps. Sue Lee is half Hawaiian and half Japanese; book one described the problems she has encountered in San Francisco because of the prejudice toward the Japanese. In this story Sue Lee travels to Hawaii, Australia, England, France, Spain and Gibraltar. Sue Lee’s personal life is intertwined with her military life. She is still working on deciphering a cryptic message about her Uncle Yoshi who was murdered in book one of the series.

The book is well written and researched. Sorlie takes the reader on a travelogue visit including a brief history of Paris and Spain during WWII. The story moves at a very fast pace. The book is only 104 pages or about 3 hours of audio. I am enjoying this new exciting series. Jeffrey A. Hering is a professional voice over actor who has done many commercials as well as narrating podcasts and audiobook. Hering does a good job narrating this series.
