Excellent

Another excellent murder mystery. A lot of red herrings and hard to figure out. Love the characters and of course Ruby! Excellent narration

Mystery Maven

Another installment of a nice cozy mystery. Good story, good narration, and good character development. Recommend and await the next audible installment.

Preferred the first narrator

This is a fun series -and it feels as though I’ve read all the cozy mysteries out there- and I really loved the first two books. But the new narrator here on the third book is a bit softer, slower, and a little less of a ‘bright young thing’. For me, the stories are a tad long and fraught for this more serious style of narration. I found myself wandering off, many, many times.

Formulaic and predictable

Slightly charming due to the time period but it’s all been done before, and better. This doesn’t feel creative. The characters aren’t particularly interesting. Hearing her sigh and talk to her dog Ruby, “Oh Rubes, what’s a girl to do in a mess like this” …. Sigh…. that unimaginative and humdrum.

Too slow

The story just sounded like a repeat of others. The narrator on this one was too slow and monotone. I turned up the speed, but it didn’t help. What little character personalities were attempted in the first two books were completely gone in this one. I really tried to finish it, but didn’t.
