After reading other reviews...

I expected a lot less of this collection. I'll agree that the stories weren't great, but the aren't as bad as others made them out to be. If you DEMAND a great read or don't appreciate strong language spare your self the annoyance. Otherwise, go ahead and get the book to finish up the chronicles.

I only enjoyed the kevin hearne portion

I tried to enjoy the other two authors, but they really did nothing for me and the style of book they were. narrations were good for all three books. and of course kevin hern was my favorite, i'm a big oberon fan.

Awesome collection

Kevin Hearne is currently my favorite author and I hope to get to see further adventures of iron Druid

In the Buzz Kill

I will admit that I only listened to Kevin Hearne’s book because I adore Oberon. If you have ever read the Iron Druid series, you will love Oberon and Starbuck’s new adventure. If you haven’t read the series, I recommend that you start and enjoy the awesome wolfhound.

Came for Kevin and Luke, barely stayed.

Bless the Druid and his hounds. 5 stars. The other were...middling. Though Chuck Wendig left me enough to chew on that I'd check out his other work if it was on sale.

Meh.

I feel I need to apologize because I really WANTED to like the stories by Dawson and Wendig and I get that they're good, respected, buddies of Hearne, but they just didn't grab my attention like the IDC series. Are just a couple of stories not enough to "hook" me or is there something deeper about the attraction we have for one content vs the next? I don't know, I just couldn't get into the concept of the other characters in the other short stories. They just didn't interest me, personally and I kind of feel bad because it must be really tough to conceptualize that magical stew that is world-building. I get it though. I get what they were trying to do but I just can't get on board. I loved the IDC addendum to the series though. I wanted more of THAT.

Unusual themed short stories

A surprising fun ride along the general theme of honey and death. I really enjoyed it.

I came here for the Meaty Mystery

I loved The Buzz Kill, no surprise there. Kevin can’t go wrong with Oberon.
I gave the overall ok rating mainly because I really struggled with “Interlude: Tanager”. That work was just not my thing and I just wanted to skip to the end.

Not what I expected

The Hearn story was great. I love that Oberon’s sense of humor. The next story was weird, a little hard to follow. The third story I could not get through. I stopped listening about 1 hour 48 min left. I felt sorry for the main character the entire time. It ended up I was not interested in how things worked out. It was just sad.
I would not recommend purchasing except for Hearn’s contribution.

Needs more Atticus.

I am disappointed the story about Atticus was as short as it was. When will we get a more completed story involving the Iron Druid himself? Like his arm or the continued story about his Arc Druid and his grove or about the Fierce Druid herself.
