Very few books take time to portray the life of an academic, much less a headmaster The characters are fun and entertaining

Another awesome book from Han Yang!

I know Book 1 just came out, but how long am I gonna have to wait for more fun with Dean Hawthorne? I know we can't chain the author to his desk to write, write, and write some more... I mean, that would degrade the quality of his work... and for other moral reasons. Love your work Han Yang!!!

Nice, slow and steady

This was quite the awesome story, it is slow paced and kind of slice of life, but interesting with an mc that usually could have been seen as a support character. It slowly builds up the plot and develops the: characters. It is quite fullfiling and nice, but it also becomes exciting and has a lot of promise for futur series. I definitely want to see if the Dean is going to show us more of just why is he one of the strongest retired adventurers! The narration was awesome, clear and easy to understand! I definitely recommend it!

Your year in the life of a magic academy school dean.
If you like a good magic academy story from the administrator's perspective, you will not be disappointed.
It has the dean involved in the lives of his students and was volunteered into becoming a mentor for a few of the first year students.
There's summoning magic, dangerous potions and powders, people of power taking advantage of others... All the stuff that makes this kind of story a great read or listen, in this case.
Great writing and narrating.
No spice or harem.
I was gifted this book and am very appreciative.

A great book with an amazing blend of Slice of Life, adventure, and jaw-dropping magic. The characters are very well-written and the world-building is pretty amazing. The narrators have also done a good job of bringing this story to life.
