Hidden in the Underworld for thousands of years by her father Hades, Chrys wishes she could leave and see the human world. Huntley never imagined that after he died, he would wake up with a magnificent girl standing over him, especially one claiming to be the daughter of Hades. The Greek gods are real, and the god of the Underworld apparently has a daughter. Instead of sending him to the afterlife, she keeps him around to be her "tutor", even though he obviously doesn't have any expertise in anything other than being a punk. It is clear she wants him around to be her friend, and it is a task Huntley has no problem taking.
But after a big fight with her mother Persephone, Chrys can't take it anymore and has to see what the human world is all about. She and her two best friends decide to check out London, since that seems to be her mother's favorite place recently.

A great spin on Greek Mythology!
I really enjoyed this take on Greek Mythology! It was different and I couldn't stop listening. Hoots did a great job taking the classic takes and making them her own. I thought Huntley was a cool character and hope we get to learn more about his past in the sequel, although much was talked about in the last two books. I can't wait for the sequel series coming out this summer!

Voice Changed in book 3
I love audible books, and am fairly easy going with voices. However somewhere in book 3 the main characters husband voice changed like he had marshmallows stuffed in his mouth along with a sinus infection - REALLY ANNOYING !!! The only reason I continued to listen is the story line is quite good and wanted to know the end of it, but boy... did I have to work through the voice. Apart from that, funny parts, easy to listen nice book.

good series. all was very good except the male Narrator has weird halts in his speech that made his speech have a strange staccato sound. he sounds like a hostage forced to read a note aloud.
