2 Strikes for this series

I really enjoy this series. The stories are good, different and yet interwoven. Unfortunately this narrator and the narrator from book #2 are enough to make you stop listening.

Gotta speed this up

I hate it when I’m the middle of a series and there’s a narrator that I just can’t stand. When this happens I have to speed it up. This one is tolerable at 1.4-1.5.

Trying to keep my finger out of my mouth

I'm not even halfway thru this book and been trying to work thru it. I have listened to better books from this author but this one is OK. like these authors now a days have a drag an issue in these books which to me puts a damper on the story. plus Crystal is so sickening and that professor is even worse. the story is ok but like I said I've listened to better. the narrator was so so. sounds like she struggling to breathe. I don't like to bash books but I am trying to be honest. I am going to finish this book because I want to give it a chance.

I listened to the rest of the book and admit it was good. and I got used to the narrator. she sort of grew on me. I know it's best to finish the whole book before critiquing it.

great story, but a truly terrible narrator

ok so this was my first book by this author and I freaking loved it. there were some odd pauses as if the recordings weren't spliced perfect but the story was so addictive I could not stop!

slow start but great build up for 2nd half!

first of all, the narrator spoke too slow lol. nice voice but if you speed it up from 1.0 to 1.3 or 1.4 it's a game changer. the whole feel and dynamic of the book changes! it feels more exciting!! it was slow to build but really wove a lot of Interesting threads that when finally brought together made a solid ending! I love this author. this was not my favorite book in this series so far, but solid and fleshed out. seriously though- increase the speed a little and it really adds a more dramatic edge. she has a nice voice.

A Favorite

This book turned out to be one of my favorites of the series. Good narration, creepy story… Well explained and came full circle. Really enjoyed this one. 

Terrible Narrator

I felt like the book was being read by a 90’s valley girl. Very monotone

Disappointing

I've been loving this series. This one was disappointing. The narrator is a personal preference, though not mine. Speed it up if it bothers you. The reveal (trying not to have spoilers) was childish, predictable, and annoying. The Northern Michigan Asylum is becoming less and less part of the story. Sad.

6th of Series

I’m enjoying this paranormal thriller/ mystery series but each book can be a standalone and feel this one was the best even though a little drawn out in parts. The main characters are Crystal, Bette, and Wes. Crystal goes missing and her sister Bette keeps searching and investigating not giving up and Wes is Crystal boyfriend who is actually married to Hilary also goes searching, there are many twist and turns and a sad ending. Recommend if you enjoy creepy mystery listens with ok narration. Look forward to next book. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you
